Dear Two Minute Door Step Visitors,
*Our procedure has been updated. Please note the change*. As in the past, however, we need for you to greet people near the parking lots. Wear your name tag and be at the cement table areas by 10:45 a.m.
THE NEW PROCEDURE: The lay leader will tell the congregation to pass the red friendship pad down the row during his/her welcome. This will be announced at both services. It will be your responsibility to see that the red friendship pads are on the seats on the center isle, and place additional pads on the rows of seats in the extended seating area for the 11:00 service. This can be done at the end of the 9:30 service during the fellowship time. It takes only two minutes to do this. The extra books for each side are in each Narthex on the shelf over the coat racks.
After the 11:00 service, tear off the top sheet from the red books and make a visit to anyone who has not been visited yet. You will know this when you look up the names in the file box. Leave the books in the end seat. Complete a card on any who is visited and return it to the church office after you visit. Also put the sheets from the registers in the wooden box outside the Office Administrator’s office as soon as you have the information you need. Please visit anytime on your specific Sunday. **YOU WILL FIND OUR TWO MINUTE VISITATION BOX OF INFORMATION IN THE OFFICE WORKROOM AND NOT IN THE SACRISTY.** The Sacristy has become too busy and is often locked.
If your Sunday is not convenient, please contact someone else on the list and switch with them. We have visitors every Sunday and we don’t want them to go unnoticed. Thank you so much for being a part of Southminster’s outreach. Your participation in greeting visitors and following up with a short Sunday afternoon visit is vital to the growth of Southminster Church.
